What began 26 years ago as a small rescue, run by a handful of dedicated individuals helping just a few dozen greyhounds from Wisconsin’s tracks, has blossomed into something extraordinary. And it’s all because of you—the love you’ve shown has made it possible for us to save thousands of dogs, offering them safety, care, and the loving homes they deserve.
Each time the ground rules changed, you have been there to help us face those changes.
When greyhound racing ended in Wisconsin in 2009, and the dogs we had cared for were suddenly hundreds of miles away, you didn’t let that stop us. Because love knows no distance, you helped us adapt—funding a van and transport trailer that carried us to southern racetracks, ensuring that we could continue to rescue greyhounds in need.
When we partnered with a prison dog program, you supported not just the dogs, but the inmates who worked tirelessly to care for and rehabilitate them. Your belief in second chances—both for the dogs and for people—proved that love heals.
As greyhound racing declined and eventually ended in the United States, your love didn’t fade. It grew. You helped us expand our mission to rescue Spanish Galgos, UK greyhounds, and Lurchers from rural communities in the Midwest and Texas. Love doesn’t stop at borders, and neither did we.
Over the past 26 years, American Greyhound has changed the lives of thousands of sight-hounds, all because love wins. This spring, 15 Spanish Galgos and 15-20 greyhounds from Colorado will arrive, given a new opportunity for a better life—all made possible by your unwavering love and support.

Bidding for the Silent Auction will be done on your phone. You must have a card on file to participate in the silent and live auction.
Our Live Program and dinner will begin at 7 pm.
The Silent Auction will close approximately 15 minutes after the Live Program ends.
Checkout will open as soon as the Silent Auction closes. Checkout on your phone and head back to the Silent Auction Area to retrieve your items.
Any Gift Certificates, Tickets, Gift Cards, COAs or Live Items can be picked up from the Certificate Table in the Silent Auction Area.
Pick Up & Shipping Policy
To our supporters bidding from home.
A $20 shipping charge will be added to each item won, unless picked up. Items may be picked up in Valparaiso, Indianapolis or Fort Wayne. Not all items will be available for shipping, these exclusions will be noted in the item description.
Items may also be picked up at no extra cost. All items will be taken to Christina's 219-730-1356 in Valparaiso following the auction. If picking up in Indianapolis- Catherine 440-991-6103, or Fort Wayne- Erin 260-615-5633 must be texted immediately after the close of the silent auction to transport items.
