Sandman is a 3-year-old colt and was sired by Tapit out of the Distorted Humor mare Distorted Music. He is trained by Mark Casse and has raced for D. J. Stable LLC, St. Elias Stable, West Point Thoroughbreds and CJ Stables. Sandman has raced at Churchill Downs, Oaklawn Park, and Saratoga with wins at Oaklawn Park and Saratoga. His has a stakes win at the 2025 Arkansas Derby (G1).
