123 - Serving Tray by Peter Judge

A 17" x 22" serving tray by Concord native, Peter Judge. 

This gorgeous tray has an Ebonized Walnut body with Walnut handles and patinaed copper and is sealed with epoxy coating. Peter grew up in Concord, trained as an architect, and turned to woodworking as another life phase. Peter has been working in wood since he was 7 years old, building love and whimsy into every piece. Sculpted legs that seem to walk, crafted hardwood bodies, whimsical sweeps of contrasting species, and rich colors of patinaed copper. His pieces are sculptural, functional art; meant to be used, integrating art into everyday life, following the premise of the Arts and Crafts movement of the past century but with a contemporary aesthetic.
