A 10" x 8" framed oil on linen painting of an iconic Concord scene by Umbrella studio artist, Bob Birkett.
Lighting of a different kind: "A career in television as a Lighting/Cameraman taught me a lot about light and composition, but the fleeting electronic images I created were quickly dispersed into thin air. Now, when I 'light' a scene in an oil painting, it will long endure. I was first drawn to oil painting by my late wife, Joelle, whose love of art and French culture filled our daily lives. Our visit to the 1980 'Homage a Monet' in Paris was her idea and I would never have lifted a brush without her. Now, I find comfort in creating these oil paintings of the places we enjoyed together here in Concord."
