Narrow Gate Horse Ranch invites you to join us for our 1st Annual Derby Ball. Enjoy an evening of dining and dancing. Plan a date night with that special someone, or come stag and mingle with the singles! We will be featuring the Grace Scott Band, bidding on the Kentucky Derby winner, sipping mint juleps (Narrow Gate style), hosting a BEST HAT CONTEST, and live-streaming the Kentucky Derby. Silent and live auctions will offer opportunities to support Narrow Gate and get something in return because of the generosity of many community supporters. All of this will take place at the The Experience. This newly renovated event center is located in the Kokomo Country Club at 1801 Country Club Road and provides a beautiful setting for an enchanted evening. 

There is, however, a purpose for this event.

The Derby Ball will raise money for children in our community who could only dream of such an evening.  Our program serves the at-risk youth of Howard County who are at or below the poverty level. Many of these children have emotional and behavioral problems. We use horses to help our most vulnerable youth learn necessary skills to improve their lives. We cannot wait to share stories about how our program instills hope and teaches new ways of thinking that break cycles of poverty and addiction.  These generational traps can prevent children in poverty from becoming responsible adults. However, we can help them redirect their lives! Not only do the horses draw resistant, impoverished children to our program, but they are also an integral part of the healing process.

Come to the ball and learn more about this amazing process known as Equine Assisted Learning (EAL).  These children are the future of our community, and together we can help equip them to become responsible and productive members of society.
